I didn’t get as far along as I wanted… scripting editing/revising and character design are my most hated foes.
We stopped midstream to watch old PPG and The Pixar Movie. It helped. Also holy crap the amount of adult Powerpuff Girls. To wit: Visiting hours in “Something’s A Miss” A Mo Job and Forced Kin. How the hell did they get those titles to fly past the censors!? Haha, Craig McCracken and Faust really are something else. And The Pixar Movie felt like a lot of de ja vu.
But it helped me get over some of my fear of all these scary new things I’m doing I’ve never tried to do professionally before. A cartoon pitch bible!? An artbook I’m organizing!?
I don’t think five years ago I would have had the nerve to tackle it so head-on because rejection can be brutal. So can success. The pressure…

Neighfertiti, an OC (as all OCs are terrible by default) is an Egyptian mummy pony resulting from the fact that my pipecleaner ponies kind of look like wrapped up mummies.
I don’t know why the cover is so hard for me. Maybe because it’ll be the main image for the Offbeatr page I’m going to make, so there’s some pressure for me to make it look really good…
I started composing a melody for the Harpsichord, called “The Stuff Of Love”
It’s still unfinished, I need to figure out what to do for the second to third minute or so.
Made another exploratory ambient piece, meant to melt softly into the background as mood establishment. I need to rip down and delete sections and build around my strongest sections, like right at 2 minutes, 30 seconds in.
It’s pretty and I definitely like the piano meanderings and the syncopated beats at the end.
