Scan time. These look a lot better this way.
Sakura Koi painting travel kit, masking fluid, Prismacolor watercolor pencils and a set of fine art Wal-Mart BIC markers that get the job done, though not in style, for soft shadows…

Here are two scans of the ones I’ve finished coloring. I still need to play catchup and color the other 4 WIPs so I can scan them next week.
They’re mostly watercolor pencils/watercolor with round brush + a touch of marker.
