Time to blow through commission concepts like my todo list doesn’t exist

Hooked up my Monoprice. This was my warmup to readjust myself to drawing with a tablet only affecting 1 monitor.

Working through commissions I owe people

People don’t hate Alicorn Sparkle because she has wings. They hate hamfisted changes from greedy corporations.

What a slap in the face to the audience, young or old, male or female. It’s downright disrespectful to take the most beloved character and turn her into a joke. There’s really no development that can be done that won’t turn out exactly like Cadence’s forced introduction and sudden plot relevance while Luna and Celestia still don’t have devoted episodes or development or importance.

They need to learn to use what they have already.

So, yeah, drew Gami in Thoughts Bubbles style again, though this time it’s too accurate and detailed, this is more like its comic style than what can reasonably be animated by more than one person.

At least it’s not shit this time, like the other one.

Um… I practiced some eyeballs

I made a fantasy hummingbird moth… a bit literally.

Took a moment to draw my characters together.

Spent an hour or so pushing her features around for a face sheet. She’s quite elastic and classically animated and childlike.

I went offmodel a bunch of times though, I’ll have to fix that later.

Made a Flash puppet for Celestia. She’s pretty funny without her mane, just look at that shiny bald dome and flank.

Coloring it is really slow. And SAI does have a bug for dual monitors, but apparently it’s only because SAI has a built-in pen tablet driver and reverts the Monoprice one.
